Suan Plu Women's Co-op - the Bangkok Women's Co-operative
Over five years ago a women's co-operative was established in an inner city slum community in Bangkok, the aim of the co-operative is to provide a fair wage, give job security and control to all the women involved. The co-operative hand-make high quality spa and paper product ranges, internationally marketed as two brands, Yonjai Spa and Hot Chilli Concepts.
The Yonjai Spa range is an exciting selection of handmade luxury "cold pressed" soaps, creams and lotions, salt scrubs, massage oils and balms. Natural ingredients are used in the production of these soothing products, further enhanced by the essences and fragrances of lemongrass, tamarind and cinnamon...just to name of few of these South East Asian exotic ingredients.
Over the five years, the Suanplu Co-operative has proved to be a huge success, this has been due to the women's creativity, hard work and tenacity in meeting their daily challenges. It is also linked to the high quality of the products they are consistently producing for customers like you; your support will ensure that the women and their community benefit for many years to come.
